About me

Sam Hughes Counsellor
Registered and Accredited with BACP

I originally come from a design background, having studied at Central Saint Martins and worked as a textile designer, creative thinking has always been central to who I am.

Later, after experiencing the profound benefits of therapy myself, I retrained to become a therapist. I've now been in practice for many years, and while my work is grounded in therapeutic training, I still bring a creative and intuitive approach to my work.

Having been through my own therapy, I understand how feeling better can sometimes seem just out of reach—whether it’s to do with relationships, work, or how you feel internally and about yourself.

I believe deeply in our human capacity to heal, grow, and thrive. That belief, coupled with compassion, underpins the way I work with clients.

My approach is integrative, drawing on different theoretical approaches with an emphasis on Attachment and Psychodynamic theories. I’m committed to helping people live authentic and fuller, more connected lives.
